We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to work with a Crown Corporation in Ottawa. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor member institutions’ compliance with regulatory and internal by-laws and policies.
Administer differential premiums and related systems in compliance with internal and audit standards.
Develop, maintain, and update procedures, guidance, and supporting documentation for insurance processes.
Review and manage agreements and submissions from member institutions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with management on product eligibility assessments and insurance-related inquiries.
Prepare reports and analyses on compliance measures, trends, and initiatives.
Maintain accurate data in relevant databases and support system testing and updates.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized university.
2–3 years of experience in compliance, audit, or financial analysis, preferably in the financial services sector.
Experience designing, implementing, or following established process documentation.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management.
Excellent organizational, research, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work independently and exercise strong judgment and discretion.
Eligibility for security clearance.
Preferred/Asset Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written).
Experience collaborating with internal or external auditors.
Experience in financial reporting or financial analysis.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
