Purpose

 

Leads and oversees Product Marketing in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be involved in:

 

  • Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Accountable for planning, deploying and measuring marketing and communication strategies to drive product awareness and consideration in support of sales targets for Credit Cards and Unsecured Lending products.
  • Leverages deep consumer and product expertise, and use of key marketing levers to effectively position and differentiate Scotiabank’s products and services amongst key target audiences to support sales targets.
  • Develops integrated marketing plans and deploys tactics to drive consumer awareness and consideration of Scotiabank’s products. Primary marketing areas of ownership include (but not limited to): broadcast advertising (TV, Radio, Print), and social and digital marketing.
  • Unites all stakeholders around a unified visual brand and creative excellence, using results, and marketing expertise to ensure our marketing is consistently breaking through and driving results.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in Credit Card and unsecured lines of credit activities and decisions.
  • Champions collaboration between key partners including Business Lines, Digital Marketing (performance and eCommerce teams), Channels (branch, CC, SOL/MOB), Retail Customer Insights and Analytics, Customer Experience, Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
  • Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have the following:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
  • Several years’ experience in marketing, brand marketing and/or account management
  • Experience working in a matrix organization

 

Working Conditions

  • Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically.
