Our federal government client is requesting a Naval Combat Systems Engineer to support on a 3 year contract.
Tasks:
• reviewing SOWs for ECID and ECIP production by third party DAg;
• reviewing ECID and ECIP submission impact assessments including those for margin impacts and making assessments for any required follow-on action;
• reviewing EC folders containing completed ECID and ECIP documentation for conformance to proper SE review procedures;
• reviewing EC folders for conformance to MSC EC approval process including ensuring that the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) and the EC Auto Tool have been properly updated;
• reviewing EC folders and certifying readiness for SE review;
• reviewing EC folders for conformance to SE review procedures;
• attending SE review meetings to assist engineering change project; managers (ECPMs) with presentation of EC folders for approval and responding to any questions for clarification;
• reviewing SE products received for review and providing comments as required;
• developing course material and delivering training workshops to Major Surface Combatants (MSCs) EC stakeholders;
• support development of DRMIS artifacts during the EC process in support of ECPMs;
• facilitating meetings with ECPMs and other stakeholders to resolve any issues throughout the EC process;
• support CM activities on an as required basis; and
• reviewing EC process and making recommendations for continuous improvement including, but not limited to, improvements of the EC Automation Tool and The Integrated Data Environment – Halifax-class (TIDE-HC).
