The Technical Analyst Intermediate is accountable for supplying the technical support and knowledge required for ongoing maintenance, optimization, and involvement in support of our business partners, while ensuring service availability targets are met and/or exceeded.

 

 

 

Is this role right for you?

• Provide support for assigned applications systems, evaluate problems of moderate complexity and identify actions to be taken and recommend/implement solutions to system problems.

• To maintain current security permissions as per Bank policies on user accounts and applications via Add, Delete and Changes of user memberships, group memberships and access levels on all supporting environments. The incumbent will be knowledgeable in environment(s) for which they are responsible. Assist with all access and permission issues that may arise.

• Ensure delivery of negotiated product/function while following BNS standards and methodologies. This includes preparing deliverables for operational readiness and steady state support.

• Keep current on rapidly changing technological trends, self-teach new technologies and maintaining an understanding of the division’s desktop technology strategies meeting the departmental objectives.

• To manage the incident tracking system in a timely and effective manner to ensure a timely resolution; document all new information within the log; perform closure of logs; including following up with all affected departments and their associated users to ensure that problems are solved, and the level of service did meet their expectation.

 

 

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

• An understanding of BNS standards and methodology as they apply to his/her job function.

• Analytical, conceptual and communication skills at a level that will allow the incumbent to provide input to project plans as well as being innovative in designing solutions that can be implemented in the least number of workdays and yet fulfill the needs of the user.

• The incumbent must have 2 to 3 years of system analysis experience as well as a relevant degree and proven IT experience, with emphasis on broad exposure to all aspects of systems software and multiple platforms

• Working knowledge of Risk Management and Change Management skills

• Must be functionally competent in the use of standard office productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Tools)

• The incumbent must possess good oral and written communication skills for the purpose of providing reports to management and effectively communicating with the user community
