We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our growing Engineering team. You will play a critical role in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and platforms that power advanced analytics, personalization, and AI/ML capabilities across the organization. 
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with GCP-native services and modern data engineering frameworks, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where technical depth, innovation, and collaboration are key. 


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

Design & Build Data Pipelines 
•    Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines using Airflow, DBT, BigQuery, and other GCP-native tools. 
•    Implement real-time and batch data ingestion from diverse internal and external sources. 
Data Modeling & Transformation 
•    Build robust data models that enable analytics, personalization, and reporting use cases. 
•    Apply best practices for data quality, lineage, and governance. 
Cloud-Native Architecture 
•    Architect and optimize data solutions leveraging GCP services (BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage). 
•    Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows, ensuring automation and repeatability. 
Collaboration & Enablement 
•    Partner with product, data science, and analytics teams to design data solutions that power business insights and ML models. 
•    Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and establish best practices in cloud data engineering. 
Operational Excellence 
•    Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance. 
•    Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements. 

 
  

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:


•    7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 3+ years building in GCP environments. 
•    Deep hands-on experience with: 
o    BigQuery (query optimization, partitioning, clustering, cost management) 
o    DBT (modular data transformation, testing, documentation) 
o    Airflow / Cloud Composer (workflow orchestration, DAG design, scheduling) 
•    Strong background in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred). 
•    Experience designing scalable ETL/ELT frameworks, real-time streaming, and batch processing. 
•    Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality frameworks. 
•    Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git). 
•    Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. 
•    Exposure to machine learning pipelines and integration with AI/ML platforms. 
•    Experience with other GCP services: Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Looker. 
•    Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager). 
•    Financial services, marketing technology, or personalization experience.
