A Government of Canada department with a global presence, including over 170 missions outside of the country, is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to join its Business Solutions division. This department is undergoing a significant IT modernization effort, shifting from aging on-premises infrastructure to a cloud-migration strategy to enhance digital adoption and operational efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure Power Platform Solutions: Build and configure solutions within MS Dynamics 365 Online, including creating canvas and model-driven apps, as well as public-facing Power Platform apps and reusable templates.

  • Implement Technical Integrations: Design and implement data connections and custom APIs to integrate PowerApps with other departmental tools and solutions.

  • Software Development and Deployment: Develop applications using .NET technologies (e.g., C#) and provide technical support for architecture development and application deployment activities.

  • Data and Requirements Management: Translate business requirements into functional requirements for Power Platform implementations and execute necessary data migrations.

  • Documentation and Support: Write weekly progress reports, perform essential knowledge transfer to employees, and provide coaching as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience as a Programmer Analyst (in accordance with the TBIPS Supply Arrangement EN578-170432).

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience customizing Power Platform solutions, including projects that collectively demonstrate:

    • One (1) project that meets the definition of complex.

    • One (1) project that meets the definition of a complex and major IM/IT transformation project.

    • One (1) project developing and integrating Power Platform components into existing MS Dynamics 365 cloud Solutions.

    • Two (2) projects implementing WET (WCAG compliant), public-facing Power Portals.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years' experience developing applications using Microsoft .NET.

(Note: The projects used to meet the four specific Power Platform requirements are not required to be separate projects.)

Education

  • Microsoft certification specific to Power Platform (must be valid)

Nice-to-Haves

  • The proposed resource should demonstrate engagement in the end-to-end development activities for major IM/IT transformation projects. (Experience must be shown in a maximum of 5 projects.)

  • The proposed resource should demonstrate experience developing custom Power Platform connectors for major IM/IT transformation projects. (The purpose of each connector must be clearly explained.)

  • The proposed resource should demonstrate experience developing task and workflow automation using Power Automate for major IM/IT transformation projects. (The purpose of each automated task and workflow must be clearly explained.)

  • The proposed resource should demonstrate experience developing .NET components for complex major IM/IT transformation projects. (Experience must be shown in a maximum of 5 projects.)
