We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Business Analyst to join our Retail Credit Risk Reporting application team within ERMS. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams within the bank. Ensuring that data-driven solutions meet the evolving needs of retail credit risk management, and regulatory reporting for the bank.

 

You will work closely with, data engineers, software developers, and business partners to define requirements, streamline data flows, and support the delivery of scalable, high-quality data solutions that power risk decisioning, portfolio analytics and regulatory reporting.

 

In this role you will: 

 

 

  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis
    • Collaborate with credit risk, compliance, and data teams to elicit and document business and technical requirements.
    • Translate business needs into clear, actionable data and system specifications.
  • Data Platform & Technical Support
    • Work with data engineers to design and validate data pipelines, data models, and ETL processes.
    • Analyze and profile large datasets to support data quality and integrity initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Facilitate workshops, demos, and walkthroughs to gather feedback and drive consensus.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation including business requirement documents, technical specifications, process flows, service level agreements, and user stories.
    • Identify opportunities to improve data governance, and data lineage within the platform for consumer efficiency.
  • Project Delivery & Agile Practices
    • Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and testing activities in an Agile environment.
    • Contribute to project tracking, risk identification, and issue resolution.
  • Change Management
    • Support the planning and execution of change initiatives related to application enhancements and regulatory updates.
    • Ensure proper impact analysis, stakeholder communication, and documentation for all changes.
  • Problem & Incident Management
    • Assist in triaging and resolving data-related incidents and system issues.
    • Collaborate with support and engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain logs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts based on incident trends.

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? 
 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Commerce, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, preferably in credit risk or data platforms
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Apache Hive, Apache Spark)
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, ETL tools and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with data visualizaiton tools (e.g Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Solid understanding of retail credit products (mortgages, credit cards, personal loans) and associate risk metrics
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (Basel, IFRS 9) is an asset
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
