The Communicable Disease Control Branch is responsible for communicable disease control, immunization, and public health information systems. In accordance with the Alberta Immunization Regulation under the Public Health Act, the PPHS Immunization Unit procures all provincially funded vaccine for the Province and operates the Provincial Vaccine Depot, develops the Alberta Immunization Policy and supporting biological pages, sets the immunization eligibility and immunization schedule(s), is responsible for monitoring immunization coverage rates, and monitors adverse events following immunization.

University Degree in Nursing, with a minimum of four (4) years progressively responsible experience in research, policy development and analysis. Must be a regulated member of the appropriate college as required by the Health Professions Act.

This is a full-time position working 36.25 hours per week.
Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary. This competition may be used to fill future roles at the same or lower classifications.
A written assessment and/or a presentation will be required as part of the interview process and evaluation.
