The Compliance and Training branch is responsible for ensuring compliance of programs, processes and policies administered by the Finance and Corporate Services Department. This is achieved through conducting compliance reviews, creating operational training programs/products/support, and providing policy review, interpretation and guidance.
You are responsible for providing consultation, advice and interpretation on administrative policy, financial policy and corporate leadership of the Grants and Contributions program. You will provide expertise in the development and evaluation of evidence-based policy options using a thorough understanding of policy, finance, and program development principles including research tools, program design, and program evaluation techniques. You will maintain awareness of corporate and financial policy issues, while keeping current with policy trends within municipalities through interaction with external groups.
Completion of 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Policy or Business Administration.
Minimum of 5 years experience in policy and/or in finance. Experience should include conducting research and enhanced data collection and analysis, communicating information, working with advanced tracking and monitoring system and supporting project management or project elements.
