Position Summary

Maintenance Coordinator is a critical role and is crucial to the overall productivity of the organization. The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for the administration, optimization, and daily operation of the FiiX Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This role ensures accurate data entry, proper scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance, and effective reporting to support maintenance reliability, asset management, and compliance initiatives. Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental, and team member’s safety.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage online training and development programs for operations with a key focus on technical maintenance procedures.
  • Audit assets and ensure preventative programs exist.
  • Create preventative maintenance programs for assets where programs are not sufficient or existing.
  • Review parts and tasks for annual overhaul work orders. Assist in the planning and execution of these work orders.
  • Maintain the central parts cage through inventory monitoring and replenishment of parts used.
  • Manage the central parts cage rebuild program ensuring assemblies are rebuilt, validated and on site for installation.
  • Directly responsible for researching, producing, and managing both operational and technical maintenance instructional videos.
  • Work with equipment manufactures technical support to develop and provide training programs on key downtimes company wide.
  • Perform root cause analysis and data analytics for company downtime and provide training programs to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Work directly with management to develop and execute focused improvement projects involving process optimizations, upgrades, and the resolution of reoccurring problems.
  • Coach and develop operators and other technicians on proper equipment set up, operation, changeovers, regular maintenance and technical troubleshooting procedures.
  • Share best practices company wide and promote visual management techniques.
  • Provide administrative support for the CMMS systems.
  • Provide administrative support in the management of operations SOPs.
  • Provide administrative support to the Corp Operations Team as needed.
  • Periodically review and audit the CMMS setup and structure ensuring proper and efficient use.
  • Build out new sites in CMMS including assets, codes, spare parts packages.
  • Monitor CMMS compliance through use of the analytics module and physical audits of PM procedures and the parts stock.
  • Review equipment audits and determine parts/work requirements for any corrections.
  • Monitor reoccurring downtime and trends reporting them to the continuous improvement team for resolution.

 

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • Possess strong electromechanical knowledge applicable to executing the primary responsibilities.
  • Strong organization, time management, communication and interpersonal skills applicable to executing the primary responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of MS Office software and video editing.
  • Possess strong knowledge of CMMS systems and SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills including public speaking and recording.
  • Possess a positive drive to assist all departments, as required.
  • Technical writing proficient – reports, procedures, summaries, etc.
  • Tech savvy, willing to learn new programs and software, tech others. 
  • Prior experience using CMMS systems.
  • Prior mechanical/electrical experience.
  • Prior experience building and monitoring training programs.

  

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

The Maintenance Coordinator is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required.

  • Working at heights and in confined spaces may be required.
  • Working conditions in certain areas can be wet, slippery and noisy.  
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to crouch, bend and kneel, as well as capable of heavy lifting and carrying.
  • May involve exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, noise, dust, fumes, or hazardous materials.
  • PPE, such as helmets, safety glasses, gloves, or respiratory protection, may be necessary.
