Altis is thrilled to partner with a well-known public sector organization on the recruitment of experienced Senior Procurement Specialists for a 1-year contract with potential extension.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days a week on site in North York (400 & Sheppard area).

Candidates MUST have PUBLIC SECTOR procurement and complex, high-value procurement project experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex procurement categories, focusing on corporate and professional services.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies.
  • Lead vendor negotiations and drive cost reduction initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and vendor performance.
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from tender preparation to contract award.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in public sector procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract law, and tendering processes.
  • Proficiency in competitive procurement vehicles (ACANs, RFIs, RFBs, RFPs, etc.).
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and materials management systems.
  • Valid Ontario G license and personal vehicle.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code.

  • Professional purchasing accreditation.
