Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

We’re assisting our client, a purpose-driven organization working toward a more equitable future, in the search for a Finance Officer, Accounts Payable (Remote – Canada). This contract role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to efficient financial operations and mission-driven work.

 

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, you'll be responsible for processing accounts payable, reviewing travel claims, managing account reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. You’ll also help improve systems and support cross-functional finance operations.

 

Requirements:

• Degree in finance, commerce, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years in operational accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Excellent organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; PeopleSoft/Concur experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams
• Professionalism, confidentiality, and problem-solving mindset
