Our valued Federal Government client is currently seeking a Senior Agile Project Manager to support with a large scale transformation effort. This is a remote contract that will run until March 2025 to start with the possibility of extension. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies: Daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Ensure adherence to Agile principles: Promote values from the Agile Manifesto—collaboration, customer focus, and adaptability.

  • Define and maintain product roadmaps in collaboration with product owners.

  • Manage the backlog: Prioritize user stories and ensure that tasks are clearly defined and ready for sprints.

  • Identify risks early and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Manage scope changes by maintaining communication with stakeholders about trade-offs.

  • Support continuous improvement by fostering feedback loops and implementing lessons learned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in IT Project Management
  • 5+ years of experience in the application of Agile Project Management Principles
  • 5+ years of experience supporting large scale IM/IT transformation initiatives ($25+ million dollar budgets)
  • Valid Secret level Federal Government clearance
