TerraHR  Consulting is seeking an Architectural Technologist for our reputable client located in Calgary, Alberta. Our client is expanding into new communities in Calgary and the surrounding areas while focusing in building exceptional homes and providing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare plans, create new models and elevations, update standard plans, and produce detailed drawings for customized elements such as fireplaces, and niches.  
  • Assist the sales team in determining pocket sizes for allowable house widths and garage orientations on lots.  
  • Request and manage plot plans, engineering data, truss, and joist layouts.  
  • Review truss and joist layouts for accuracy and incorporate foundation details such as pad and beam pocket sizes. 
  • Modify grades per plot plans, ensuring functionality while adding features like steps and siding where necessary. 
  • Submit plans for architectural approval, make required changes, and communicate updates to the sales team and clients.  
Job Qualification:
  • Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent.  
  • 5–10 years of wood-framing production drafting experience in the Canadian residential construction industry.  
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.  
  • Familiarity with the National Building Code – 2019 Alberta Edition.  
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Outlook.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.  
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
