Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the auto division, drive growth, and ensure the success of our auto recycling business. If you are results-driven with a strong business acumen and enjoy fostering strong relationships with customers and teams, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

Customer & Business Development
  • Utilize prospecting strategies to identify and connect with potential customers.  
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with dealerships, automotive repair shops, and other key partners.  
  • Uncover and develop new business opportunities with clients. 
  • Conduct follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage feedback through Google reviews.  

Operational Management 
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and customer retention.  
  • Oversee team scrum meetings to maintain productivity and align on goals.  
  • Audit daily operations, including pickups and payments, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.  
  • Manage "Car Collected" dashboards and verify EMT payment processes.  
  • Ensure "Donate a Car" program records are up to date. 

Team Leadership & Performance 
  • Monitor and review calls for quality control, pricing accuracy, and customer service.  
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members.  
  • Maintain the weekly office schedule and communicate it via the Dream Team WhatsApp group.  

Data & Record Keeping 
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and leads.  
  • Input key performance data into KPI systems and ensure deadlines are met.  
  • Verify employee hours in the ADP system to ensure accurate payroll processing.  

Collaboration & Strategy  
  • Work with the marketing department to develop and distribute effective marketing materials.  
  • Strategically negotiate with customers to secure sales and build long-term loyalty.  
  • Keep management/team informed of unflagged EMT payments and other key updates.  

Qualifications
  • Established track record of success in automobile operations management, sales, or a related discipline.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.  
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, KPI tracking tools, and automotive recycling processes is an asset.  
  • Ability to develop, train, and lead a team, and inspire high performance.  
  • Comfortable with strategic decision-making and negotiating customer agreements.  
  • OMVIC license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Completion of a police background check and credit verification is required.
