POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Licensed 310T or a 310S, we would also consider a 3rd Year Apprentice in either trade. In this role you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on various truck and trailer within our fleet. You will perform troubleshooting, mechanical repairs and regular maintenance including inspections.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate Equipment issues with Fleet-Manager on safety or related equipment issues.
  • Assist Fleet Manager with Full Maintenance program on fleet trucks & equipment as required.
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs of trucks and trailers.
  • Completing diagnostic tests and testing repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Installation of new and add on equipment.
  • Accurate completion of work orders.
  • Promoting and maintaining safe working conditions and adherence to occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Must be able to drive equipment in/out of the shop.
  • Manage and perform running repairs.
  • Other mechanical repair work as required, including other duties as assigned.

 

Education/Skills/Experience:

  • Licensed Truck & Coach 310T, Licensed 310S Technician or 3rd year apprentice in either trade
  • 2 years’ experience working on Trucks and Trailer or Automotive.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing trucks and trailers or automobiles.
  • Strong organizational skills as well as proven problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to weld and fabricate small parts would be an asset.

 

Working Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to crouch, bend and kneel, as well as capable of heavy lifting and carrying.
  • Physical dexterity is essential
