As a Corporate Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments.

  • Permanent Position: Friday 0630-1530 and Saturday/Sunday 0700-1500 (must be able to work all days for the permanent position)

Responsibilities for Corporate Surveillance Security Guard

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment through regular patrols (interior/exterior) and monitoring of CCTV/security systems.

  • Control access to the premises by managing entry/exit points, checking identification, and issuing access cards.

  • Enforce property regulations, site rules, and applicable city by-laws.

  • Protect client assets by preventing theft, vandalism, and safety risks.

  • Act as the first point of contact for emergency responders and collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.

  • Respond promptly to emergencies including fires, medical incidents, and security breaches.

  • Prepare accurate daily reports and detailed incident documentation.

  • Identify and report vulnerabilities or malfunctions in security systems.

  • Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism, strong communication, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Foster positive working relationships and contribute as a team player.

  • Remain adaptable to all weather conditions while ensuring employee and site safety.

Qualifications for Corporate Surveillance Security Guard

  • Authorized to work in Canada with a valid Manitoba Security License.
  • First Aid certification (asset).
  • Strong knowledge of security operations, access control, and CCTV systems.
  • Proficient with technology; basic computer literacy for reporting and monitoring.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and report writing skills.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, de-escalation, and customer service.
  • Ability to remain calm and react quickly in emergencies.
  • Physically and mentally fit; able to stand, walk, and patrol in all weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation skills.
  • Professional, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Experience working with emergency responders or law enforcement (asset).
