As a Industrial Security Guard, there is a high focus on customer service since you will be working with people all shift in a Gatehouse.

    • P1: 4/3 Mon-Wed 0600-1800

Responsibilities for an Industrial Security Guard

  • Provide access control at the site entrance and ensure only authorized individuals are permitted entry.
  • Acknowledge and grant access to approved visitors, contractors, and suppliers (list available in Guardhouse).
  • Record all visitors in the Access Control logs maintained in the Guardhouse.
  • Offer professional and courteous directional guidance to visitors.
  • Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized access and protect against loss.
  • Ensure that all contractors and suppliers comply with site access procedures.
  • Direct deliveries to the appropriate department or contact person (guards are not permitted to sign for deliveries).
  • Enforce site policy prohibiting pedestrian traffic.

Qualifications for an Industrial Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Clean criminal record
  • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle to get to and from the site
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate logs and records
  • First aid certification an asset
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
