Job Title: Intermediate Business Analyst – Time & Leave Management
Contract position with possible extension - 6 months to start

Work Model: Hybrid Work Model (Mon/Tues/Thur in office, Wed/Fri work from home)
Our leading energy client is looking got an Intermediate Business Analyst (BA) to support the management and oversight of employee time, leave, and scheduling processes across Canadian, U.S., and select international employees. This role ensures compliance with employment practices, accurately audits time and leave data, and provides key insights and support to Payroll, HRIS, and leadership teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in SAP and Workday systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct weekly and bi-weekly audits for employees on leave, banked time, holiday pay, and student time entries.
Audit and reconcile employee time data in SAP and Workday to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Manage vacation, personal, and banked time for Canadian and U.S. (non-union) employees, including international assignees, LTD/STD leaves, students, part-time employees, and special leave cases.
Coordinate with Payroll to ensure accurate payouts and deductions for vacation and other time-off scenarios.
Update and audit work schedules in SAP and Workday.
Verify overtime eligibility and exemption status.
Monitor and resolve INT079 and INT070 integration failures to maintain system integrity.
Apply union and non-union employment practices accurately.
Ensure adherence to time-off codes, vacation payout procedures, and company policies.
Assist leaders with time approval issues, particularly during reorganizations or system access changes.
Respond to employee and leader inquiries regarding vacation, personal time, time entry errors, and system navigation.
Maintain detailed process documentation and audit logs.
Generate reports for internal stakeholders (e.g., vacation balances, time coding summaries).
Communicate reminders and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Experience & Core Competencies:
Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Proficient in SAP and Workday time tracking modules.
Ability to interpret and apply employment practices and union agreements.
Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills across Payroll, HRIS, and business teams.
