Responsibilities for Distribution Centre Security Guard

• Conduct regular checkpoint patrols and gate control.
• Manage trailer/vehicle entry, verifying correct destination addresses.
• Monitor and respond to alarms; document and report findings.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports; monitor and report on cameras.
• Control and monitor emergency exit gates.
• Administer and track access cards, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Verify staff and contractor access, including clearance checks and reporting.
• Perform environmental inspections (e.g., water leaks, airflow, unusual noises) and escalate issues.
• Track turnstile use for warehouse entry/exit; ensure hi-vis vest compliance.
• Document and report incidents promptly.

Qualifications for Distribution Centre Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification an asset
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
• Steel toe boots required
