Our federal government client requires three (3) Junior Procurement Specialists to provide cataloguing support. Responsibilities include verifying, identifying, and classifying materiel; processing associated documentation; and supporting forward planning for new requirements and capabilities.
Roles and Responsibilities
Process Cataloguing Requests & Amendments – Receive and process cataloguing amendments and new requests, verify through CGCS/PubLog/NMRCL, ensure correct action codes, and update records
Data & Reporting – Perform data downloads, manipulate spreadsheets, prepare reports, populate bulk uploads, and maintain logs to support client needs.
Quality Control & Guidance – Conduct quality checks on amendment requests
Issue Resolution & Coordination – Resolve Material Master Record (MMR) issues, provide resolution timelines, and coordinate with technical authorities and supply managers to meet policy and operational requirements.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement – Maintain cataloguing databases and mailbox, and create/update SOPs, flowcharts, and training materials to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Qualifications and Skills
Data Entry in ERP Systems
At least two (2) years of verifiable data entry experience in a recognized Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Infor)
Procurement and/or Client Service
At least two (2) years of verifiable experience in one or both of the following areas:
Procurement: sourcing requirements, identifying suppliers, obtaining quotes, evaluating bids, reviewing technical data, or preparing procurement documents.
Client service: managing or coordinating parts/equipment (e.g., service desk, inventory, or logistics support).
Spreadsheet Applications
At least one (1) year of practical experience using Microsoft Excel or a similar application (e.g., Google Sheets) for data entry tasks.
