Agilus is recruiting for a Buyer in the Oil & Gas Equipment Fabrication in Calgary, Alberta. Our client is seeking an energetic and driven Buyer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this full-time role is based in their Calgary office. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, supporting the purchasing team in a variety of related activities. Responsibilities: Work directly with the Projects and Aftermarket teams to place and expedite orders. Create and issue purchase orders for materials, supplies, and equipment as required. Maintain accurate records of delivery dates for long-lead items and follow up with suppliers for updates. Assist with general expediting of orders as needed. Collaborate with the engineering team to clarify valve and instrument specifications prior to ordering Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues affecting purchase orders. Coordinate transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials. Requirements: 2+ years of industry experience in a similar role. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Previous experience in a steel fabrication environment is an asset Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and bills of materials.
