Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Analytics, the Manager, Project Reporting is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support project insights and decision-making. This role oversees the production of quarterly reports, dashboards, and performance metrics, collaborating with Directors across International, Canadian Branch, and Corporate Premises Projects to ensure data accuracy. The Manager also identifies risks such as budget overruns and schedule delays, supports annual budgeting, and leads process improvement initiatives through automation and digital solutions.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Act as the central contact for project reporting across all business lines.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with accurate and timely data.
  • Deliver actionable insights through ad hoc reporting and data analysis.
  • Integrate data from systems like PeopleSoft and BuilD to support leadership decisions.
  • Serve as SME for PRS (Project Reporting System), managing inquiries and system enhancements.
  • Track project financials (CAPEX, accruals, actuals, forecasts) and support budget planning.
  • Lead automation and forecasting initiatives to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and IFRS by maintaining robust reporting procedures.
  • Collaborate with Finance to provide DPMO support to Real Estate.
  • Uphold Scotiabank’s risk culture and operational standards.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:


  • Business-related post-secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with real estate documentation (leases, construction schedules).
  • Proficiency in financial reporting (CAPEX, forecasts, accruals, actuals).
  • Skilled in Power BI, Excel, Python/R; experience with automation and forecasting tools.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and develop performance metrics.
  • Track record of process optimization and reporting workflow improvements.
  • Strong research and investigative skills; able to work independently.
  • Experience supporting users and identifying system improvement opportunities.

 

Work Arrangement: Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Travel may be required on an exception basis.
