The Digital Enablement team’s mission is to enable digital excellence through collaboration, shared practices, and a thriving community—empowering teams with the skills, tools, and support to deliver impactful customer experiences aligned to our Digital Customer Framework. As a co-op, you’ll mainly support the Community Engagement pillar of the Digital Enablement team and will contribute to the development and engagement of our global digital communities through engaging events, shared best practices, tooling and communications.

Position Responsibilities:    

  • Scale Digital Excellence Practices: Help enhance the practice of digital excellence across the organization by building and evolving training, tools, resources, and communications. 

  • Strengthen Communications: Help improve the effectiveness of communication efforts across multiple channels to engage and inform the design community within Manulife. 

  • Support Team Functions: Provide valuable support to the team in various tasks, including data analysis, research, ideation, and facilitation, based on the intern’s interests and learning goals. 

  • Manage Community Events: Ensure the successful planning and implementation of community events, contributing to a vibrant and engaged design community. 

  • Leverage Global Trends: Stay informed about global trends and best practices of digital excellence and provide insights on how to leverage these within Manulife. 

Required Qualifications:   

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Design (any type), User Experience, Product Management, Learning and Development, or a related field.

  • Very strong written and visual communication skills, with proficiency in creating content for various communication channels.

  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports; comfortable working with Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and making recommendations based on insights.

  • Skilled in conducting research and synthesizing information into actionable insights.

  • Competence in planning, coordinating, and managing projects and events.

  • Experience working effectively within a team environment and engaging with various stakeholders.

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently on tasks and projects.

  • Strong organizational skills, with a detail-oriented approach to managing systems, processes, and prioritizing tasks.

  • Demonstrated curiosity and growth mindset, with openness to new ideas and continuous learning, especially within a global matrix organization.

  • A proactive self-starter who seeks opportunities to turn ideas into action.
