Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for the environment? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic geospatial professional to take on a one-of-a-kind role that directly contributes to the sustainable management of Alberta’s natural resources.
As a key member of the Provincial Geospatial Centre (PGC), reporting to the Geospatial Unit Lead, South, you’ll be at the forefront of creating and managing spatial data, crafting custom cartographic products, and responding to geospatial requests that support both regional and provincial priorities. Your work will help drive informed decision-making across departments and high-impact government programs, making a real difference in how Alberta’s public lands and resources are managed for generations to come.
This role blends technical expertise with creativity and collaboration. You’ll apply your skills in GIS, cartography, geoprocessing, and data management to deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful insights. This is a full-time, temporary position based in Calgary. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., totaling 36.25 hours per week.

For example:
January 15, 2006, to June 25, 2009: Assistant (part time, three 8-hour shifts per week).
