Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Enhancing Request Quality: Take initiative in identifying deficiencies in requests, such as missing information or documents, incomplete or ambiguous requests, and work closely with translation requesters to obtain additional information as necessary to elevate performance and improve results.
  • Resource Allocation: Distribute work among translation resources with precision, taking into account their schedules and expertise.
  • Risk Assessment: Assess the need for revision of different types of documents based on risk and liabilities, and negotiate deadlines when required. Manage internal client expectations effectively.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Respond to requests for information from all parties involved in a project, facilitating effective communication. Communicate clearly the processes to follow and expectations to translation requesters.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Translation Management team and perform other related duties as directed, demonstrating leadership and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Perform the pre-work necessary for the smooth running of a project (such as cleaning of the source document, alignment of reference documents when necessary, masking text, pre-translation) using the appropriate tools.

  • You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Translation
  • Complete fluency in (both written and oral) and excellent cultural knowledge of the source and target languages (Canadian English and Canadian and Québec French)
  • You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.
  • You have strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize risk.
  • You have strong communication / interpersonal skills.
  • You have excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads to adhere to established service standards.
  • You have experience in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint.
