The Pooled Fund Administrator contributes to the overall success of the Operations department ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. They will ensure all activities conducted, complies with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

This is a 12 Month Term position.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Conduct daily verification and process pooled fund transactions
  • Reconcile pooled fund statements and follow-up on any inconsistencies with custodians and fund administrators
  • Produce and distribute routine reports on regular basis
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly client mailings and ensure that all documentation is sent to clients on a timely basis
  • Other duties may be required and may be subject to change

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s in business or economics or another related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in the investment industry in a Brokerage, Investment or Trust Company
  • An understanding of Investment Operations back-office processes and technologies within an investment management organization is an asset
  • A good understanding of securities transactions and reporting systems & knowledge of reconciling accounts
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • An advanced level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong client service skills and are proactive and professional when managing client issues
  • Innovative and eager for involvement in news projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • An elevated level of self-motivation, self-discipline and are reliable
  • A comfort working directly with investment and trading professionals
  • The ability to work both independently, prioritizing workload and seek support when appropriate
  • A strong thought logic process, extremely detail oriented with strong numeracy skills
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks quickly and efficiently
  • Initiative and are results driven
  • An ability to manage key time frames and important deadlines
  • The ability to work well in a stressful environment
