The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will optimize financial software solutions to enhance data accuracy, streamline operations, and ensure compliance with internal policies. You will work with multi-functional teams to analyze complex financial data, generate insightful reports, and implement system improvements that align with strategic business objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with partners to translate business requirements into technical specifications, developing PowerBI and FP&A models. Ensure robust design through rigorous testing for performance and scalability, adhering to best practices.
  • Offer expert data consultation and support user acceptance testing to ensure application changes meet user requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and the IS department to align reporting needs and resolve customer service issues professionally.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex production issues, communicate findings, and provide after-hours support to ensure system reliability as needed.
  • Maintain technical documentation and follow change management procedures to ensure systematic updates and minimize disruptions.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • University Degree with MIS major or Computer Science degree or comparable education with 5+ years of experience in a Consultant/Programmer/Analyst type role.
  • Superior knowledge of IBM Planning Analytics (PA), PowerBI, SQL, and VBA.
  • Extensive data integration experience using Extract, Transform, Load (ETL).
  • Strong business sense with ability to communicate complex concepts and results in a clear and concise manner (both written and verbal).
  • Talent to inspire, engage and provide guidance to team and to business clientele.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Azure Environments and Change Management.
  • Initiative to explore innovative ideas coupled with the ability to motivate others to accept progress and change.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within agreed SLA.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship building skills used to foster customer trust.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, particularly when using sound, independent judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Fully bilingual (English/French): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between

$68,775.00 CAD - $114,625.00 CAD
