Agilus is recruiting for a Project Accounting Advisor in the Oil and Gas Industry in Edmonton, Alberta. The Project Accounting Advisor will be responsible for cost management activities and ensuring monthly financial reporting. A typical day: Collaborate with Project and Program Managers to execute cost management activities Responsibilities include compiling and reconciling accounting transactions, preparing accruals, reviewing timesheet entries, and supporting financial reporting, including variance analysis. Manage the setup, maintenance, and closeout of work breakdown structures and budgets throughout the project lifecycle using systems such as Oracle, Copperleaf, and EPPRT. Support Procure-to-Pay processes by monitoring commitments, submitting purchase order requests, processing goods and services receipts, coding invoices, resolving issues, and liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders Validate and process changes to project forecasts and budgets. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and support cost center reporting activities. Successful candidates will have: 10+ years’ experience in project cost control Accounting bachelor's degree and credentials Advanced Excel skills Advanced Excel skills Excellent verbal and written skills Chartered Professional Accountant (nice to have) Previous oil and gas working experience will be desire Soft skills: Time management Attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a team Total rewards: Contract Position Hybrid work style (Mon, Tue, Thu in office) Location: Edmonton PAY RATE: $65.00-$70.00 /hr
