Position Overview

As a QA Technician reporting to the Quality Management System Coordinator, your role will involve helping and supporting the Operational Excellence Department Staff.

Responsibilities

Product Labels Management:

  • Create, inspect, and manage product and shipping labels using software such as Nice Label 2019.
  • Ensure all labels meet regulatory and internal compliance standards.

Shopfloor Issues Support:

  • Address quality issues arising on the production floor in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison between production and QA to resolve discrepancies.

ICQ 8 Process Audits Execution:

  • Assist in carrying out ICQ 8 process audits to ensure compliance with internal standards.

RF Inspections Support:

  • Support the QA team in inspecting and verifying RF components and systems.

ISO 9001 Internal Audits Support:

  • Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards (formal training provided).

Customer Corrective Actions Follow Up:

  • Track and verify the implementation of corrective actions from customer audits or customer complaints.
  • Report progress and escalate issues as needed.

Measurement Equipment Calibration:

  • Maintain records of equipment calibration and coordinate with external providers as needed.
  • Perform routine internal calibrations to ensure equipment accuracy.

Performing Internal Quality Tests:

  • Execute environmental and mechanical tests, including temperature cycling, air leak, and water leak tests. Document and analyze test results to identify quality trends.

Final Inspections:

  • Perform final inspections of finished products prior to shipping, ensuring they meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Chemical Inventory Updates:

  • Maintain accurate records of chemical inventory and update safety documentation as needed.

Daily Product Certificates:

  • Generate and verify compliance certificates for daily shipments.

Employee ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Test Logs:

  • Maintain and review logs of employee ESD tests to ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

  • Technician/technologist diploma, associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field (bachelor’s is an asset).
  • Possess 1-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Competence in using computer software for data entry, analysis, and generating reports (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint are critical).
  • Easily navigate to locate files and folders in a MS Windows environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to quality team and suppliers
  • Ability to maintain and organize detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality metrics.
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings and dimensional measurement equipment are an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality objectives.
  • Positive attitude towards constant change in work systems.
  • Positive customer service attitude towards internal and external customers.
  • Self-control and temperance during stressful situations.
  • Can lift and move boxes up to 23 kg of weight.
