Salary: From $110,000 to $120,000 per Year
 

Controller - Permanent, Hybrid 

Our client, a well-established organization in the North York area, is seeking a Controller/Finance Manager to join their team, working 3 days onsite in a hybrid format. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in reporting, treasury, policy administration, and budgeting to take on a well-rounded and impactful role.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal reporting requirements
  • Manage day-to-day banking operations and maintain relationships with financial institutions
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure liquidity and working capital efficiency
  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and manage periodic forecasting updates
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making
  • Support internal and external projects with financial modeling and budget oversight
  • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and advisors during audits and reviews
  • Address audit findings and support the implementation of process improvements

 

Qualifications

  • CPA designation (or equivalent experience); strong technical accounting knowledge
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in financial management or senior accounting roles
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and audit coordination
  • Experience with Tax compliance
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and large accounting/ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
