The Activate Strategic Functions New Graduate Development Program is designed to kick start your career at Scotiabank with endless possibilities! If you are looking to fulfill your CPA designation requirements, one of our streams includes a Pre-Approved CPA program that provides you with the experience and mentorship required to achieve your designation within a 30-month timeframe. In all streams of the Activate Program, you will have access to personalized skill-building workshops and challenging work-integrated opportunities that will rapidly accelerate your career development and help you unlock your full potential.
Each stream of the Activate Program has a dedicated recruiting process; this posting is for the Audit Stream. If you’re interested in one of the other streams of the Activate program, please search for the appropriate posting on our Scotiabank Careers page.
About the Audit Stream:
Audit professionals are collaborative communicators and independent thinkers who are curious to learn, and keen to leverage data to find the right solutions. In Global Audit, we are looking for individuals who enjoy problem solving and can see the “big picture” in a complex environment. Candidates should be interested in how Governance, Risk Management and Internal Controls work in the Bank’s business lines and core functions. As an Audit professional, you can make an impact by shaping the future of the Bank without the requirement to pursue your CPA designation – this is not a CPA Pre-Approved role. If you are bilingual Spanish speaker, that’s a plus! Apply to our Activate Audit stream where you can build on the skills above, while developing your passion for business analysis, risk management, and personal development.
Is this program right for you? In this program, you will:
Rotate through various teams in Audit; gain exposure to different areas in the department and the various portfolios covered.
Be part of an environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and curiosity.
Work with Leaders that are committed to supporting your professional growth and development through access to a formal training and development curriculum, and through on the job experience.
Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this program? – We’d love to work with you if:
University/Post secondary degree or relevant experience.
Ability to work in high levels of ambiguity and in a rapidly changing environment.
Good analytical skills in the use of data analytics or visualization tools.
Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).

The Scotiabank Veterans Network (SVN) is committed to supporting veterans, reservists, and military spouses by recognizing and valuing their unique skills and experiences. As a military-friendly employer, Scotiabank actively promotes the integration of veterans into civilian careers by offering a wide range of employment opportunities across the Bank. SVN plays a key role in this effort, leading initiatives such as a mentorship program designed to support both current and transitioning veterans.
The team was instrumental in driving recent enhancements to Scotiabank’s reservist leave policy and organized the inaugural Valour and Vision Expo in Q4 2024, where industry leaders pledged to support veterans entering the civilian workforce. In February 2025, Scotiabank proudly served as the lead Banking Sponsor of the Invictus Games, an international multi-sport event that aids in the rehabilitation of wounded, injured, and ill service members—both active and retired.
Additionally, SVN hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including leadership symposiums and annual Remembrance Day ceremonies, to honor and support the military community.
