The Guard Force Commander (GFC) is responsible for the overall leadership, supervision, and management of the Local Guard Force (LGF) protecting the client. This includes oversight of all operational, logistical, administrative, and compliance aspects of the guard force.

The position is conditional upon the award of the contract and requires a Letter of Intent from the selected candidate. The estimated start date would be January 2026 if contract is awarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise all guard personnel under the Task Order.
  • Manage guard schedules, orders, deployments, and daily muster.
  • Conduct routine inspections of guards and posts.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain inventory and operational reporting.
  • Oversee training programs for compliance and effectiveness.
  • Ensure proper uniforms, equipment, and staffing per contract.
  • Manage logistics for security equipment (e.g., x-ray, explosive detection).
  • Act as main contact for COR and GTM on operations.
  • Ensure contract compliance and quality control.
  • Maintain accurate data in the system (when implemented).

Qualifications Summary

Education:

  • High school diploma or National Diploma required; a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice or Management may substitute for 4 years of relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years in military, police, or security (with leadership roles).
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Canada.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proficient in basic computer use (reports, SOPs, email).
  • Trained in advanced security and risk management.
  • English fluency (spoken and written).
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.
  • Canadian citizen or permanent resident (required for reliability clearance).
