Salary: From 55000 per Year
 

Our client in the Financial Services industry is seeking a Bilingual Recovery Specialist to manage early-stage defaults and ensure effective collection processes are followed. You will lead by example, fostering strong relationships both within the organization and with clients.

Location: Toronto, ON (Must be onsite 3x a week)
Salary: Starting at $55K/annually + full benefits
Start date: ASAP
Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm EST

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Monitor and manage mortgage accounts in early delinquency, working with clients to find solutions.
  • Review account statuses to identify issues that need attention.
  • Communicate with borrowers through phone, email, and written correspondence to assess their financial situations and offer guidance.
  • Negotiate payment plans or solutions for clients struggling to meet their obligations.
  • Document all interactions and account activities accurately.
  • Prepare reports and seek guidance from senior team members on next steps.
  • Participate in monthly projects as needed (e.g., obituary searches).

Customer and Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Customer Experience, Portfolio Administration, and Sales.
  • Order necessary checks and searches from external partners.

Skills and Experience

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of collections, mortgage terms, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • University degree or community college diploma.
  • 1+ years of experience in the mortgage industry or financial services.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).

Attributes

  • Well-organized and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual in English and French is required.
