Our valued Federal Government client is currently seeking a BIM Geomatics Specialist to support a Real Property Spatial Building Program, provide expertise to compile, analyze and validate real property building information, and transform and standardize existing spatial data. This is a HYBRID multi-year contract in Ottawa.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Restructure and extract CAD building, works and equipment data from various sources and in various formats,
• Review CAD drawing files for correct layering structure,
• Verify CAD file line work and features for consistency and correctness,
• Review drawing floor plans and all of their layers and elements to ensure features are correctly represented and organized in the correct layers,
• Create and update metadata,
• Condition and load CAD civil infrastructure, buildings, works and equipment data

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience analyzing and processing CAD & BIM data
  5+ years of experience using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Map3D, or AutoCAD Civil 3D, or Autodesk Revit to create, edit and convert buildings, land infrastructure or utilities data.
• 5+ years of experience in the application of BOMA Area Measurement standards to create Area Measurement drawings.
• 5+ years of experience using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
• RELIABILITY level Federal Security Clearance or eligibility
