In this individual contributor role, you have the opportunity to see everything that is happening across the bank. This group is niche, however, you are involved in everything new, complex and emerging in the industry. You see it all. Never gets dull and constantly challenged to learning new things every day. Building relationships in all areas across the bank and build a great network.
Our ideal candidate has depth of technical accounting experience, holds a CPA, is able to distill complex information into a clear, non-technical way, and truly enjoys partnering with the business. You will be a trusted advisor to provide advice and help guide the business.
More visibility to the bank operations, Sr. Manager will be supporting a segment, could be Capital Markets, exposure to Capital Markets business at BMO, Sr. Manager is challenging, and fast paced work. Exposure to higher level executives. Ability to implement a major standard in the bank (IFRS 18).
Ensures high risk/complex accounting transactions are compliant with accounting regulations and financial information is disclosed appropriately in the Bank’s financial statements. Acts as part of the support team advising on accounting guidelines and accounting policy strategies and programs. Supports aspects of accounting management by providing value added ideas, advice and recommendations to improve quality and overall effectiveness. Provides guidance and advice on significant and complex transactions and issues that impact the business.
