Our retail apparel client is seeking a Project Manager to support their Brand Department. This is a contract position requiring hybrid work from the client's office in North Vancouver. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
As a Project Manager in the Brand Operations team, you will lead brand initiatives from brief to
delivery, partnering with cross functional teams to manage internal and external resources
effectively. Drawing on your project management expertise and understanding of the creative
process, you’ll drive strategic execution with strong communication, organization and problem solving skills. Candidates with backgrounds in traffic or design management, product
development, digital marketing, digital agencies and film and production operations often excel
in this role, which demands adaptability to shifting priorities and the ability to guide teams in
delivering high-quality work on time, on budget, and aligned with business goals.
The client's team is a collaborative group of project managers, producers, retail and campaign experts. They are responsible for defining and evolving processes, and leading workflow. This includes the end-to-end production of ecommerce content, brand and product campaigns and advanced concept projects. In this role, you will work in close partnership with their Brand Managers, Marketing Managers, Product Operations, and Creative teams.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and maintaining project timelines, key milestones, delivery dates and hour
allocations using the project management standard operating procedures and
leveraging our project management software - Steering multiple projects: campaigns, business drivers and special projects from kick off to delivery, working cross-functionally with creative teams, operations partners,
channel partners, and senior Brand leadership - Providing critical project updates and anticipating next steps in order to keep your
projects on track - Communicating project status and keeping internal partners informed on project
development and any potential roadblocks - Supporting your project team through weekly Creative Review meetings with creative
leads and channel partners - Conducting project retrospectives at the end of each project and continuously work to
improve processes to increase project output and efficiency - Championing operational excellence through the maintenance and evolution of project
management processes, calendars, project plans, briefs, templates and Digital Asset
Mangement (DAM) practices
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in project management, design management, campaign management, product design development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (Monday.com, Microsoft Teams, Figma, Smartsheet, etc).
- You have relentless attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet
competing deadlines - You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are proactive in identifying the root
cause of issues - You have a positive, collaborative and can-do attitude that inspires and leads a project
team of varied roles and responsibilities without direct control - Understanding of the design workflow process is an asset.
- Digital UX/UI comprehension is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
