Our client working in the Non-Profit space is hiring for a Bilingual Client Services Associate to join their team starting on an 11 week contract. This is an exciting opportunity working in the East end of Ottawa. This is working in a hybrid model, working 3-5 days onsite per week.

As the first point of contact, the Client Services Associate provides exceptional service and support to members, volunteers, and the public. This role is responsible for answering inquiries by phone, email, and in person, resolving issues when possible, and directing requests to the appropriate colleague, partner, or agency. With a focus on building strong relationships, the Client Services Associate ensures members have the information, resources, and support they need.

The successful candidate will be fluently Bilingual in English and French.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries in French and English by phone, email, and in person, providing information on membership, benefits, pensions, and insurance.

  • Set up and maintain member accounts, process renewals, update personal information, and issue membership cards.

  • Refer complex inquiries to the appropriate staff member, partner, or agency while ensuring timely follow-up.

  • Support volunteer-led branches across Canada (77 branches) by processing orders for brochures, event kits, and other materials.

  • Assist with membership campaigns, mailings, and special projects.

  • Represent the organization at information booths, conferences, and trade shows.

  • Manage front desk reception, redirect calls, and handle incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Maintain accurate database records and generate reports as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bilingual in French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to handle a wide range of inquiries, including sensitive or challenging situations.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proficient with computers, databases, and MS Office applications; able to quickly learn new systems.

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and provide clear, helpful solutions.

  • Experience in pensions, insurance, or finance is an asset but not required.

  • Adaptable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak membership renewal periods.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work model (3–5 days onsite per week).

  • Office-based with some periods of higher volume (e.g., membership renewals).

  • Occasional lifting, packing, or preparing materials for member or branch activities.
