Our client in the public services industry is hiring for an Events & Recognition Program Coordinator. This role provides administrative and coordination support for internal events and employee recognition programs. The position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys balancing event logistics with program administration.
Location and work model: Toronto, hybrid (2 days on-site)
Pay rate: $21/hour
Schedule/hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Contract duration: 16 weeks with possibility of extension
Responsibilities
Develop and manage RSVP pages, track registrations, and maintain event reports
Support with scheduling, logistics, and be onsite during events as needed
Manage inventory for branded/recognition materials and respond to inquiries in shared inboxes
Assist with data entry, reporting, and vendor follow-up for recognition and retirement programs
Maintain service pin and retirement program databases; coordinate mailings and certificates
Create and edit presentation materials and support reporting
Respond to employee inquiries related to recognition and retirement programs
Requirements
Post-secondary education in Event Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Forms); advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH) required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with effective problem-solving skills
Experience with event coordination or employee programs an asset
