Salary: From 55 to 75 per Hour
 

Our client is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Automation Specialist to support ongoing initiatives in cloud platform operations and modernization. This contract role will be instrumental in driving automation, strengthening cloud environment resilience, and enabling the delivery of business-critical applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep) to manage scalable cloud services.

  • Support automation and orchestration using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Contribute to the stability and security of hybrid environments, including Windows and Linux servers (patching, decommissioning, image builds, and certificate management).

  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to troubleshoot and enhance cloud solutions.

  • Engage in cloud platform design reviews, adoption of new technologies, and expansion of the cloud roadmap.

  • Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to ensure availability and reliability of services.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 6+ years in IT infrastructure or software engineering, including 2+ years of hands-on cloud platform experience.

  • Proven expertise in automation through scripting and configuration management (PowerShell, shell scripting, Ansible).

  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform preferred).

  • Solid background in Azure (IaaS and PaaS) or equivalent cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) with the ability to map skills across.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps pipelines (classic and YAML) and CI/CD practices.

  • Working knowledge of both Windows Server and Linux environments.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaborative skills.

  • Experience with Agile/DevOps delivery practices.

Education

STEM undergraduate degree preferred.
