Our Federal Government client is actively looking for a senior software architect to support an immediate operational requirement to deliver technical solutions for programs in critical need of support systems. These systems must be able to capture, store, analyze, and report on program data, ensure data integrity, and issue awards in compliance with government policy. In alignment with the Government of Canada’s technology direction, Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Dynamics Portals have been identified as the technologies of choice. To meet these needs, additional design and development resources are being sought in the categories outlined below
Roles and Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design – Develop the architectural framework; translate requirements into comprehensive solutions; create high-level and detailed designs; ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
Development & Implementation – Produce detailed designs, workflows, and configuration files for Microsoft SharePoint (2016+); correct deviations; test and validate solutions; document specifications for future reference.
Collaboration & Support – Work with development teams, IT Security, and operations; provide mentorship, guidance, and transitional support; perform issue and incident resolution; deliver ongoing operational support.
Knowledge Transfer & Planning – Develop support plans with defined service levels; conduct system acceptance tests; prepare documentation; provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience as an Application/Software Architect for SharePoint within the last 5 years
Experience providing professional services for the integration of multiple systems using industry standards and technologies (e.g., Active Directory, automated emails, database queries, web services)
Experience delivering Application/Software Architecture for Federal, Provincial, or Municipal government clients
Experience designing and developing within SharePoint on-premise version 2016 or later using the SharePoint object model, including:
Event Receivers
Timer Jobs
Site Definitions
Master Pages
Web Parts
Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: business analysis of functional requirements, developing system architectures, creating/documenting high-level or detailed designs/specifications, or configuring systems to meet functional requirements
Experience designing and developing Microsoft SharePoint (2016 or later, on-premise) using C# and ASP.NET
Experience working with supporting technologies such as CSS, Bootstrap, PowerShell, jQuery, MS SQL queries, and Multilingual UI
Experience with SharePoint Online and Power Platform tools, including Power Apps (Model-driven, Canvas) and Power Automate
