Drives sales results and enhances the promotion of investment products and services to new and existing networks and market opportunities. Applies professional consultative sales and business development practices and techniques for an assigned product / portfolio.

  • Provides inside sales support to the regional business development team to drive sales results.
  • Contacts networks and partners to promote product and services, and increase overall business results.
  • Prioritizes business development contact strategy based on the defined lists, and determines the appropriate messaging to support additional business growth.
  • Analyzes competitor information, programs, and tactics to provide insight to business development team in the region.
  • Provides technical support on products, and other sales / needs assessment tools.
  • Answers questions about self-directed concepts.
  • Creates marketing tools and presentations for use in the region.
  • Maintains regional statistics.
  • Supports the achievement of the business plan within the designated territory / region.
  • Supports the delivery of the desired client experience to enhance business opportunities.
  • Drives increased product knowledge and expertise by training and coaching BMO employees.
  • Collaborates effectively with internal stakeholders to build capability and drive business growth.
  • Completes complex & diverse tasks within given rules/limits and may include handling escalations from other employees.
  • Analyzes issues and determines next steps.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Recommended:

  • Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of competitive market place trends and product offerings.
  • Knowledge of investment products and services.
  • Some understanding of risk and compliance management.
  • Specialized knowledge.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - Good.
  • Organization skills - Good.
  • Collaboration & team skills - Good.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - Good.

Salary:
$38,500.00 - $71,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
