Operations under the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) generate billions of dollars of revenue annually through markups and gaming revenue that contributes to funding government services, programs, and Alberta’s charities and community organizations.
The Alcohol, Cannabis and Gaming Policy (ACGP) team is growing and looking for your analytical and policy expertise! We have two exciting Manager positions available to support our initiatives (1) Manager, Cannabis and Liquor Policy and (2) Manager, Gaming and Horse Racing Policy.
Reporting to the Director, you will lead a policy team to develop key government policy and legislative initiatives in Alberta’s gaming, horse racing, liquor, and cannabis industries. Policy development in these areas is is highly complex and will require your strong political acumen, as these industries are dynamic, and emerging issues can create strong public reactions.
Key responsibilities for both manager positions include project management and leading a team of policy analysts to:

Minimum Requirements
Equivalencies may be considered based on one-year experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.

Hours of work: 7.25 hours per day / 36.25 hours per week (Monday – Friday).
