Agilus is recruiting for a Project Scheduler in the Oil & Gas Industry in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta.
The Project Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring project timelines and deliverables. This role involves developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting the project manager in identifying critical path activities. The Project Scheduler tracks progress, identifies potential risks, and provides regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring efficient project execution and optimized timelines.
Responsibilities:
Planning and Coordination: The Project Scheduler plays a central role in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project timelines and deliverables. This involves developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using industry-standard software
Critical Path Identification: The Project Scheduler supports the project manager in identifying critical path activities, helping to pinpoint tasks that could impact the overall project timeline if delayed.
Progress Tracking and Reporting: They track progress, identify potential risks or delays, and provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making and proactive issue resolution.
Communication and Reporting: The Project Scheduler supports the Project Manager in effectively communicating scheduling trends, current status, slipped milestones, and upcoming milestones to project stakeholders. This involves preparing detailed reports and presentations that highlight key scheduling metrics, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
The Project Scheduler is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This involves regularly reviewing project scheduling processes, tools, and methodologies to identify areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement changes that streamline workflows and improve project outcomes
Requirements:
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project scheduling, project management, or a related field is required. Experience should include developing and maintaining project schedules, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and using project management software.
Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools is essential. Experience with other software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint, is also valuable.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are crucial for effectively managing project timelines and working with various stakeholders?
