We are partnering with a well-established, Canadian-owned organization experiencing strong growth to hire a Senior Accountant. This is a unique opportunity that combines accounting, tax compliance, and financial planning, while working alongside the CFO.

The Senior Accountant will be a "management-trainee" and a trusted partner to leadership, taking ownership of critical finance responsibilities, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounting and tax activities for the business and its investments.
  • Lead estate and tax planning activities with discretion and professionalism.
  • Assist in preparing investment and cash flow summaries.
  • Shadow finance operations across business divisions.
  • Contribute to debt negotiation discussions and financial decision-making.
  • Collaborate on financial reports, planning, and projections for both corporate and personal matters.
Qualifications
  • CPA designation required (international CPAs accepted)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and tax
  • Experience within an accounting firm or a family office
  • Solid understanding of corporate and personal tax
  • Strong technical and systems skills, with advanced Excel proficiency
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence to engage across all levels, from new hires to executives and founders
  • Inquisitive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn all facets of the business
