You will support the Business Deposits Portfolio Management team by contributing to deposit initiatives aimed at meeting our deposit sales and profitability goals. • Oversee summary of competitor insights, conducting a weekly market review of available rates for Business Accounts and GICs, and compile these into a comparison sheet for internal use
  • Maintain multiple deposit trackers and support the production of weekly and monthly reports
  • Complete ad-hoc data and report requests as needed
  • Maintain schedule of team activities to ensure smooth operations and promote team building
  • Assist the team in improving processes & procedures for the deposit portfolio
  • Aid in creating presentations and communications for internal partners, management teams, and executives to support strategic decision-making processes (e.g., providing education, guidance, and partner engagement)
  • Foster a customer-focused culture through data analysis and reporting to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including handling ad-hoc assignments or special projects from Senior Management

Do you have the skills and requirements that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if:

  • Post-Secondary Education completed in business or related area
  • Prior Banking experience is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detailed-oriented with the ability to transfer complex information into digestible summaries
  • Proven Excel skills to manage several trackers in support of deposit portfolio governance
  • Proven PowerPoint skills with ability for content creation to support deposit resources
  • Creative and curious
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, working both independently and within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively and efficiently

What’s in it for you?

  • You’ll be part of a diverse, collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team.
  • In-depth training to prepare you for the role, as well as ongoing coaching and feedback to help you succeed!
  • Exclusive student events such as Scotia Student Day, Lunch & Learns, leadership panels, and much more!
  • Bank-wide orientation to learn more about Scotiabank and gain exposure to senior leadership across the organization.

How do I apply?

For students applying to our internship/co-op or new graduate programs, we do not require resumes! We believe in evaluating you through relationships over resumes and are focused on learning about who you are and what you’re interested in to uncover your true potential. Instead, we ask that as part of your application you complete the below:

  1. Complete your PLUM Profile here and save as a screenshot.

About Scotiabank

The Scotiabank Veterans Network (SVN) is committed to supporting veterans, reservists, and military spouses by recognizing and valuing their unique skills and experiences. As a military-friendly employer, Scotiabank actively promotes the integration of veterans into civilian careers by offering a wide range of employment opportunities across the Bank.  SVN plays a key role in this effort, leading initiatives such as a mentorship program designed to support both current and transitioning veterans.

The team was instrumental in driving recent enhancements to Scotiabank’s reservist leave policy and organized the inaugural Valour and Vision Expo in Q4 2024, where industry leaders pledged to support veterans entering the civilian workforce.  In February 2025, Scotiabank proudly served as the lead Banking Sponsor of the Invictus Games, an international multi-sport event that aids in the rehabilitation of wounded, injured, and ill service members—both active and retired.

Additionally, SVN hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including leadership symposiums and annual Remembrance Day ceremonies, to honor and support the military community.
