Global Banking and Markets (GBM) provides corporate and institutional clients with lending and transaction services, investment banking, advice, and access to capital markets. GBM is a full-service wholesale bank in the Americas, with operations in 21 countries, serving clients across Canada, the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.Client Insights and Analytics is part of the COO (Chief Operating Officer’s) office in Global Banking and Markets. Our mandate is to lead the execution of our business strategies through powerful reporting and analytics. We are closely integrated with our business partners to drive adoption, and client strategies/insights and opportunities. 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Assist our teams in report engineering, data analytics and data engineering and business relationship management.
  • Work with our relationship managers for business lines including Corporate & Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Global Business Payments and International Corporate and Commercial Banking.
  • Help leverage internal and external client data to facilitate opportunity identification.
  • Support adoption, change management and enhancement of our CRM (client relationship management) system.
  • Attend program meetings, and facilitate organization and follow-up as required.
  • Carry out ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.

  • You are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • You love to learn and envision yourself working for an international organization that heavily invests in your future.
  • You enjoy being involved in extracurricular activities such as conferences, clubs, and competitions/hackathons.
  • You are interested in or have knowledge of the capital markets and wholesale banking business.
  • You have experience working on a major project and/or initiative in a team.
  • You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a matrix-based environment.
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • You have advanced experience with Excel.
  • You have experience with programming languages such as Python and C++.
  • You have considerable initiative, curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • You have a high level of energy, commitment, and a strong sense of teamwork.
