Purpose
The Director, Team Leader & Banker Development is responsible for creating and delivering sales, sales management, credit and value proposition training and learning programs across both Private and Signature banking teams. The Director will develop a complete curriculum based on national best practices, and incorporate other existing and new performance management, sales and credit training content. The incumbent will develop different content for Team Leads and Bankers. The curriculum will be tailored for various roles across Private and Signature banking and for different experience levels from new hires through experienced team leaders and bankers.
The role is responsible for elevating the sales and execution performance of all teams. Content for leaders will focus on sales management, setting goals, team planning and coaching, and business development strategies, including development of both internal partnerships and external COIs. Training for bankers will focus on value proposition, client discovery, business development tactics, borrowing to invest strategies, and credit fundamentals. The incumbent will develop policies, processes and tools that improve overall sales effectiveness and service delivery.
The Director will work closely with the Private Banking senior leadership team, including SVP and Regional Vice-Presidents, to ensure programs are addressing high priority training and development needs. The Director will work with internal partners, including Practice Management to ensure content is aligned with other supporting programs across Scotia Wealth Management. The Director will work with Marketing and other enablement teams to ensure team leaders and banker teams are equipped with marketing content that supports business strategy and revenue objectives.
