Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Automation Tester to support agile web-based software development projects within the public sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and accessibility of large-scale, web-based platforms through the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a dedicated automated application tester on agile web-based software development projects.
  • Derive, design, and document test cases from user stories, non-functional requirements, and design specifications.
  • Execute tests across multiple phases, including system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Perform cross-platform testing across major browsers and devices (iOS/Android), ensuring responsive design and accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG 2.0).
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests using modern frameworks such as Cypress.io or equivalent tools.
  • Conduct UI and API test automation to validate application functionality and performance.
  • Test large-scale, web-based educational platforms to ensure reliability and scalability.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience providing dedicated application testing services on web-based software development projects
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience writing and executing automated UI and API tests for web-based software development projects.
  • Proven experience with modern automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress.io or equivalent).
  • Experience with accessibility testing standards (e.g., WCAG 2.0 compliance).
  • Ability to perform responsive design and cross-platform testing across multiple browsers and devices.
