We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Accountant to join a collaborative and fast-paced finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in inventory management, the manufacturing industry and  financial reporting.  Your responsibilities will span everything from managing inventory records to preparing financial reports and supporting audits.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
• Perform regular inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor inventory levels and support reporting to management
• Prepare and send invoices to customers
• Process monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports and variance analysis (actuals vs. budget, prior year, etc.)
• Maintain schedules for bank accounts, fixed assets, inter-company transactions, and other key areas
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparing required documentation
• Support the preparation of tax filings and government remittances
• Contribute to budgeting processes and provide supporting analysis
• Help improve processes and ensure compliance with company policies

 

What You Bring

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in roles involving inventory accounting
• CPA designation completed or in progress
• Strong Excel skills (e.g., working with pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
• Experience with accounting software such as Business Central, Great Plains, or similar platforms
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive information
